Take a ferry ride to paradise on the Indian Ocean and discover the scenic Bongoyo Island just off the coast of the Msasani Peninsula in Dar es Salaam. Prices -

Ferry rides are 35,000 TZS (about $20 USD) per person. Shade banda rentals are 5,000 TZS (about $3 USD) each.

Hours -

Ferries depart to the island daily beginning at 9:30 am and run every two hours until 3:30 pm. The last ferry returns from the island at 5pm.

Visitors can get to Bongoyo Island by boat or ferry from the Slipway shopping center on the Msasani Peninsula on the coast of Dar es Salaam. The ferry departs every 2 hours beginning at 9:30 am with the last return to Dar at 5 pm. Ferry rides are approximately 30 minutes.
