All travelers on the ferry will be required to show a valid passport and yellow fever card when arriving in Zanzibar. Because Zanzibar is a part of the United Republic of Tanzania, it maintains its own immigration service.
All passengers may bring up to 25kg of luggage on the ferry. Anything over will be subject to an extra charge. It is best to travel light to avoid extra fees, packing only the beach essentials including swimming attire, sunblock, towels, sunglasses, a change of clothes, and a passport.
